The Black Lives Matter movement Assignment

Description
Conduct a search of recent (last five years) scholarship on your topic, using one of the many databases available to you on the library website, e.g., Academic Search Complete and JSTOR. In addition to scholarly sources, use articles from respectable newspapers like The New York Times, Wall Street Journal or The Guardian, a free British online newspaper.
Topic:Police brutality, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the impact on New Yorkers.
Each article/reading that you include must be a text which speaks to, or answers, your
Research Question in some way.
Research question: How does the Black Lives Movement change people’s perceptions of police brutality?
An Annotated Bibliography consists of two parts. The first part is where you cite the source. A
citation in a Bibliography (also called Works Cited or References) simply tells someone the
name of the author of the text, the title, and when and where it was published. By “where” I
mean the name of the publication, for example, the name of the newspaper. There are different
citation styles. The one we are using for our paper is called APA. MLA is another style, but we are not using that right now.
You format your APA citation as follows, and please pay attention to punctuation and
capitalization:
Last name, First name initial. Middle name initial. (Year, Month Date). Title of article. Title of
Publication in italics. URL
The example is below:
Richards, C. (2019, December 9). Best music of 2019: Lana Del Rey sings lullabies about the
end of America. Washington Post.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/music/best-music-of-2019-lana-del-rey-singslullabies-about-the-end-of-america/2019/12/06/6e82c5ec-15d8-11eaa659-7d69641c6ff7_story.html
And after this citation you’ll write a summary. That’s the second part. In your own words, tell us what the article is about. Do not include your personal opinion. Simply provide a short version of the original.
