Book Review Native Americans
Read the book before writing the paper. If you can’t read it all, read the middle chapters and last chapters. You must reference the characters in the book such as Major Ridge, John Ross, and Andrew Jackson, and explain their roles. Instructions and attached. Reference links I have attached, and formatting links. Do not title this paper as I do not want it showing up on here.
Trail of Tears: The Rise and Fall of the Cherokee Nation
Try to quote mainly from the book, you may use these and other reputable sources for background and if you use information from them make sure to cite in the References page. I’ve included the book’s MLA citation, be sure to use Author-Page style when quoting or paraphrasing a fact. I’ve included two websites that will serve as help for MLA in-text citations and formatting. As this is a Master’s Book Review, if you are not familiar with MLA 9th Edition formatting or cannot write grammatically correct sentences WITHOUT ERROR, do NOT accept this assignment. I will rate you poorly if you are unable to write a meaningful review that is clear, effective, and without ANY grammatical or mechanical errors. I am 1/16th Choctaw, so I do feel sympathize with the Indians plight, and how the removal was brought about. A civilized tribe such as the Cherokees deserved no such treatment. However, I also see America’s view at the time, and how they wanted and had fought for the right (from the British, etc.) to create a country of their own.
Here is an excellent review of a fictional book of poetry that is not formatted but does a good job of summarizing the book, the author, the author’s writing style, the underlying meaning or purpose of the book, thoughts, interpretations, and questions one may have while reading (with answers later on), and more:
You DO NOT have to use this style whatsoever, it is just an example of a book review, but it is about a piece of fiction so it’s different. It is not organized as the assignment should be, but is witty and thought-provoking.
Another great example-book review-do NOT use as a source but take note of style and points made (no citations or quotes made in these papers, but we want citations and quotes in mine):
